Pasan’s module testers receive the TÜV certification for turn-key solar simulator systems. This certification, delivered by TÜV Rheinland Group, is confirmation by a third party that Pasan’s turn-key systems comply with Class A IEC 60904-9, Ed. 2 standards. The qualification measurements were carried out at both Pasan and customers’ sites. All technical documentation was also carefully controlled.
Pasan is the worldwide reference for performance measurements of photovoltaic modules. Pasan solar simulators provide top levels of accuracy, allowing producers to assess their performance to the highest standards.
With this certification process, it was confirmed that the requirements for the standards were clearly fulfilled and could even be defined as a “A+” rating (meaning twice better than class A).
The A+ stands for the unequalled spectral match with AM 1.5g, the non-uniformity less than <1% on the entire illuminated area of 2x2 m2 for a SunSim 3c and 3x3 m2 for a SunSim 3b respectively, and flash stability better than ±1%. The assessment covers the irradiance range of Pasan simulators, from low up to 1’200 W/m2. The examination also includes variations in technical performance between different systems of the same type, possible effects caused by lamp replacements and effects that may occur during the specified lamp life.
Together with the intrinsic quality of Pasans’ systems, this recognition will support Pasans’ customers in complying with international requirements.
