EVA foils are used to laminate solar cells when assembling solarmodules so as to protect the cells from environmental influences. The newproduction plant is one of the most modern across the whole of Europe andhas an annual production capacity of 5 million square metres. The plant isto be operated in three shifts from October 2010 already. Roth & Rau isthus expanding its market position in Italy. Roth & Rau Italy already has avery high share of EVA foil sales in the Italian PV market. By developingits own production facilities, Roth & Rau Italy will be able to reactfaster to its customers' needs.
