On March 3rd 2011, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, Meyer Burger celebrates the symbolic laying of the foundation stone of the new headquarters and the production facility of MB Wafertec (Meyer Burger Ltd) at Schorenstrasse in Thun. During the ceremony renown experts from industry, politics and media will be present.
After the groundbreaking ceremony in January the laying of the foundation stone follows as a further milestone. In the presence of renowned experts from industry and politics the foundation stone is symbolically laid at the new location of MB Wafertec (Meyer Burger Ltd) at Schorenstrasse in Thun on March 3rd 2011, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The new headquarters is located on a plot of about 28’000 m2.
Outlook
For the completion, a construction time of 1,5 years is expected. The project includes an investment of about CHF 50 Mio. The new headquartes shall house up to 600 employees. All construction activities can be followed by a webcam.
